A simple goodbye to September

What was the best way to usher out my birthday month?

By celebrating outdoors on an abnormally warm and sunshine-y Sunday afternoon in September
with the Evil Red Genius.

Of course there was wine.....

A delicious New Zealand Pinot Noir, to be exact.

a light, earthy, vibrantly colored wine

  and cheese......

St. Andre Cow's Milk from France
Garrotxa Goat's Milk from Spain
Cloth Bound Cabot Cow's Milk from Vermont
Balsalmic Infused Cheddar

with cranberry chutney, walnuts and sliced pears and grapes........

and whole grain crepes with arugula, goat cheese, spinach, tomatoes and mushrooms......

and (deciding to forego dessert) more cheese......

“Maybe the truth is, there's a little bit of loser in all of us.
Being happy isn't having everything in your life be perfect.
Maybe it's about stringing together all the little things.”
Ann Brashares

Cheers to the little things! After all they are the most simple and precious of all!
